Humanity is facing many problems: global warming, resource scarcity, biodiversity loss, unjust inequality, and so on. One reason that these problems are not addressed is that we are locked in the present economic system: citizens need to pay next month's bills and politicians must guarantee the jobs allowing them to do so. All the activity which goes with this money-making often is of no inherent use or even harmful to the environment, that is, to our own future. Eranism is a new economy which frees us from these constraints, allows us to combat the aforementioned problems, and gives room for cooperation.
